First mailings begin July 2026  ·  Screen-free  ·  Real wildlife, real stories

FeatherHaven Post Club is a mailed children's newsletter filled with real backyard wildlife stories, nature facts, activities, kindness, and collectible surprises — for kids ages 4–10.

ABOUT THE CLUB

Where the Backyard Becomes a Story

FeatherHaven Post Club is a monthly mailed newsletter for children, inspired by the real animals observed in a living backyard garden and pond ecosystem in the Tampa Bay area. Every issue features a creature who actually visits — with a name, a personality, and a story worth telling.

This is not a fictional world. These are real animals: a one-legged American Crow named Frank, an Eastern Cottontail Rabbit named Peter, a Great Egret called Edelweiss, and more. Each month, one of them becomes the star of your child's newsletter.

Note: Though the animals are real, the stories are a mixture of truth and fiction to inspire imagination and help your child connect.

A newsletter titled 'FEATHERHAVEN POST' featuring a story about sunsets and wildlife, with illustrations of a heron and a rabbit, a postcard with a rabbit and wildflowers, a brown envelope addressed to a child explorer, a card with a rabbit named Peter, a mug of tea, potted plants, and a small Buddha statue on a wooden table.

FeatherHaven Post Club helps children connect with nature, practice kindness, and experience the simple, irreplaceable joy of receiving real mail.

What Arrives in the Mailbox

Every envelope from FeatherHaven is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection — no screens required.

Open illustrated storybook featuring a rabbit and a bird, surrounded by grass and white flowers, with a large feather resting on the pages.

A warm, gently illustrated story featuring one of FeatherHaven's real
animal residents and the world they live in.

A handwritten to-do list about plants, with a leaf and basil beside it, a magnifying glass focusing on a leaf, and a small animal figurine on top of the paper.

Fun, age-appropriate
facts about the featured animal — what they eat, where they live, and what makes them remarkable.

A vintage map or scroll with a maze puzzle, decorated with white flowers and green leaves.

A coloring page, simple puzzle, game, or hands-
on activity that brings
the story to life away from any screen.

A decorative envelope tied with a string and heart-shaped wax seal, surrounded by flowers and plants.

A gentle real-world
kindness prompt — an act
of kindness toward nature, animals, or the people around them.

A set of polaroid-style photos featuring a cute brown bunny rabbit in a natural outdoor setting with trees and flowers.

A beautifully illustrated collectible card featuring the month's animal — something to keep, trade, and treasure.
